Eat Smart In Germany Special
From Wed. April 10-13, 2013 Essen Haus is featuring receipes from Eat Smart In Germany, the newest travel guidebook in the award-winning Eat Smart series. Essen Haus Stein Club member, Mary Bergin wrote the book that gives hints for ordering food in Germany and offers popular traditional German recipes.
The Essen Haus is built on the old world tradition of quality and value. We remember the good old days when food preparation knew no short cuts. That's why all of our German entrées are made with only the best meats and fresh natural ingredients. Below are just a few of our menu items. . .
Choice beef marinated in a mixture of red wine vinegar and spices, topped with sweet and sour gravy and served with red cabbage and German potato salad.
A trio of German sausages - a traditional Bavarian bratwurst, smoked thuringer, and knockwurst - accompanied with German fried potatoes and sauerkraut
Boneless chicken breast sautéed in a marsala wine sauce with fresh mushrooms, onions and tomatoes , served with German fried potatoes and sauerkraut.
A taste of three of our most popular entrées. Pork wiener schnitzel, jaeger schnitzel and a weisswurst, served with German potato salad and sauerkraut.
